A small team of athletes from the UTA will be off to Korea this month for two weeks of intensive training under several World Class Korean instructors as well as participation in two major competitions whilst out there, including the 6th Korea Open, one of the largest and most prestigious events in the world. The team travelling out are:

Master Peter Johnson 6th Dan - Stoke UTA
Chan Sau 3rd Dan - Loughton UTA
Angie Bailey 3rd Dan - Central UTA
Alex Tse 2nd Dan - Shins UTA
Mitchell Connelly 2nd Dan - Milton Keynes UTA
Beth Johnson 1st Dan - Stoke UTA
The team lands on the 27th August and is in Korea until 6th September. They will be training with a number of renowned instructors including Master Kang Ik Pil as well as a period of training at Gunkuk University. The first test will be at the Chang Moo Kwan Open on the 29th August which will be followed by the Korean Open from 2-5th September.
The trip will be a massive benefit to all the players all of whom are amongst the best in the UK. For Master Shin, Chan Sau and Mitchell Connelly, all of whom have been selected to represent Great Britain at the 5th WTF World Poomsae Championships, the trip will provide the basis of their preparations leading up to event in Uzbekistan in October.
