UTA Taekwondo Seminar

27th December 2008 - Abbey Hulton, Stoke-On-Trent

The annual UTA Taekwondo seminar was hosted by Master Peter Johnson (6th Dan) from Stoke UTA and held in Abbey Hulton, Stoke-On-Trent. It was a good opportunity for the UTA to get together to work off some of   the Christmas Turkey and the seminar was well attended with instructors and students from many UTA clubs around the country including Northern Ireland, Scotland, Milton Keynes, Manchester, Stoke and Staffs and Halton.

The seminar was conducted by UTA Chief Instructor Master T.W. Shin (8th Dan) who began the session with a good warm up and stretch before going through all the basic techniques with a fine tooth comb and highlighting some of the changes which had been brought about at the recent World Poomsae Championships. It was then onto the patterns which started with the lower grade kup patterns going right up to Jitae and before we knew it the time was up! It was a tough session but everyone took away a bit more information from the seminar and can go away and work harder to improve the standard.
